What Claude.ai can do:
- Have conversations
- Read documents and images you upload
- Analyze data
- Write and explain code (but not run it on your machine — that's Claude Code)
What Claude.ai can't do:
- Edit files on your computer
- Run commands in your terminal
- Persist information between conversations unless you use Projects
