Apprentice vs Builder path

When you sign up, Mosaic asks a few placement questions and puts you on one of two paths.

• Apprentice path — for students new to AI. Starts at Chapter 0-1. You learn what an AI is, how to talk to it, how to get useful answers. First few chapters use claude.ai in the browser. No install.
• Builder path — for students already using AI. Skips the intro. Starts at Chapter 0-3 — where the terminal and Claude Code come in. You're installing tools and writing code fast.

Both paths converge. Placement isn't a test. It's just about starting you at the right depth — not bored, not lost.
